The Magic of To-Do Lists...

In today’s society life is just…..well CRAZY.

You add onto that being a parent and then add on having a paying job, then add on out of school and work activities, oh and then we can’t forget the husband, they require a fair bit of attention, so to be able to keep on top of things is considerably hard in the 21st Century.

I personally find that if I have so many things running through my brain that I often get confused and more often than not incredibly stressed out.

If I’m trying to remember one thing and then with so many other things going on well I just clean forget all about it this then just increases the stress load and makes it all worse.

I try to alleviate the stress on my mind (and hence on my body as the mind really does control all) and I personally do this via writing out lists.

I work 4 days a week as a Medical Imaging Technologist and on my ‘day off’ I spend a fair bit of time running my home business (on top of cleaning the house, food shopping, washing etc…).

I’ve found over time that if I just try to rely on my brain to remember things I am far less productive than if I just get it all out of my head!

I am now infatuated with lists and with Technology of today, it is made so much easier! You can carry them around with you anywhere!

I have a Shopping List App on my phone.

This is so awesome as whenever I think I need to buy something, I just add it onto my App. When I’m at the shops I’ve always got it on me, it’s not a little piece of paper that I’ve left at home and then of course I don’t forget anything. If I don’t buy something that week, then it stays on the App until I delete it. Love this App!

I also use the Notes section on my phone. I love it for my Camping trips. I have a massive list of things that I just run through so I can pack when needed. Some things I just don’t want to leave in the Camper Trailer.

The good old Paper and Pen is always a good option. I do love putting a big line through when I’m done. I’ve even been known to add things on that I have already done that day just so I can cross them off!

My main thing about this, though, is to just get everything out of your head.

Don’t rely on yourself as that just creates more stress on your mind and then of course onto your body if you forget something.

You know how you feel when you forget right? Make life easier for yourself. Life is too hard already!

I’d love to know how you all go with this.

Let me know! You can comment down below.
